Beulah United Methodist Church
"We exist to produce fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ"

WORSHIP

Worship begins at Beulah each Sunday morning with prayer at the altar at 10:25. Our 10:30 service might best be described as a casual, blended service in which people of all ages can enter the presence of the Almighty. We normally celebrate the Eucharist on the first Sunday of the month. On the 2nd thru the 5th Sundays of the month, immediately following the Noisy Offering, the children, Pre-K thru 5th grade,  are dismissed to the basement for their own Junior Church service. We offer a clean, staffed nursery during the worship service.

On Sunday evening our worship style varies. We might enjoy a singspiration/testimony style service or prayer service. We may have a church-wide potluck with games. On occassion we have musical guests, missionaries, or the youth lead our evening services. Each service, regardless of style, are geared for the entire family and begins at 6:30p.

SUNDAY SCHOOL & SMALL GROUPS

At Beulah UMC we believe Christian education is important for both children and adults! Sunday school begins at 9:30 each Sunday morning. Children's classes are available for all ages and adult classes range from traditional to topical.

Small groups, meeting both in-home and at the church are formed as the need and interest arises. Topics vary.

CHILDREN

For the younger children of our church and community, we offer Sunday school for all ages, special events such as Vacation Bible School, summer church camps, and children's conferences. We also offer a children's sermon during our worship service and Junior church on the second thru fifth Sundays of the month.

BIBLE STUDY

Believing that God's word offers guidance to every situation in all times, several opportunities for Bible Study exist at Beulah UMC. We have Men's studies; a Women's study; early morning, mid-day, & evening studies; passage and topical studies; Laity-led and Pastor-led studies are all offered.

YOUTH

The youth meet weekly on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6:30p for a lesson, games, fellowship, & snacks. We use Group's LIVE cirriculum. In addition to LIVE we offer a strong spiritual program for youth grades 6 thru 12, including Sunday school classes, conference events, leading worship, confirmation classes, lock-ins, summer church camps, special retreats & work trips.

UMW

The United Methodist Women meet monthly, both at the church and in-homes for a time of fellowship and to work on service projects ranging from Operation Christmas Child to the Lawrence County Shopping Day, which helps children shop for school items. All women are invited and encouraged to attend the UMW. They meet on the third Thursday of the month.

LIVE NATIVITY

This year Beulah UMC will present its Live Nativity on Saturday, December 18, from 5:00p to 9:00p. There will be several Biblical scenes with live animals, a nativity scene, live music, cookies, & hot drinks. This year will be the 20th annual Nativity for Beulah UMC. Just follow the luminaries south of Sumner to the Church.

MEN

We currently have two opportunities for men to fellowship and study Scripture with other men. The first is on Wednesday mornings at 6:30a when Max Lawrence leads a Bible study at the Sumner UMC. The second opportunity is on Thursday evenings, beginning at 6:30p when Bryan Cummins leads men in a topical study of the Bible. This small group of men meet at Beulah UMC.
